Musician, artist, singer, painter, periodontist, writer...these are just a few of the words that describe Phillip Woods.

An acclaimed pianist, arranger and choir director for 30 years, Phillip's extraordinary talent is known throughout the USA and abroad. He has recorded several CDs, and his vocals have been heard on national TV jingles. His original music was also featured as part of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company's suite,"Frame" (1992).

Singers are consistently moved by his spirited workshops and coaching, by his depth of passion and commitment to music, and by his lively sense of humor!

A self taught visual artist, Phillip is proud to present his first solo show, "My People." He describes his paintings as follows, "It is my tribute to all the mothers, fathers, cousins, and elders who first taught me about courage and faith, the importance of hard work, and living a life devoted to service. I have tried to capture these remarkable "everyday" people in familiar settings, at church, and at work."

In his spare time, Phillip is completing a collection of short stories, "Said I Was't Gonna' Tell Nobody!"
